Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve had a photo contest and I got two photos into their calendar.

Additionally, the public will be able to vote for "Best of Show in both adult and student divisions. Voting will take place at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve visitor center during the month of November. Prints will be displayed there, and winners will be announced December 5, at the Friends of KVR's evening event featuring the String Ties band.

Its pretty cool to get the cover, and I'm amazed that they picked the photos, there were so many good ones in the contest. When I took the Lower Star Valley photo, two people walked by and asked what I was taking a photo of, they must not have seen what I saw.

WOW, over a year and no update!

We have pretty much forgotten about this blog. I'm hoping to get it going again!

Updates

I went for a morning drive on Saturday and captured this image, which turned out pretty good.




















I spent some time today updating the website. I think it looks better now, but I'm still not finished with it. Check out the website if you get a chance at http://www.lonewolfstudios.us/

Also on Saturday, Kathy and I went for a motorcycle ride with a group that has met in Westby every labor day weekend for the last 22 years! We followed them around for a while and when they decided to run Wildcat mountain, we took off ahead and tried to get some pics of them coming through.























On Friday we took a nice ride over to Milwaukee so one of my co-workers could take a look at a Ducati that he wants to buy. Kathy and I both love Ducatis and were very excited to go with. Dave and I both got to test ride these expensive Italian bikes and we had a blast!

Busy, busy, busy.but thats how we like it!

Last weekend we had a great time shooting Jacob and Abigails rehersal and wedding. Jacob and I have been close friends since high school so I was honored that they had me shoot their special day. The wedding was on Saturday, then on Monday we left for a trip up the the U.P. of Michigan. We were taking the week off, but hoping to get some great photos too. We ended up driving 1315 miles, spent about $300 in gas and took nearly 2000 photos!

Today, Kathy had another photo shoot to do while I endured a long painful day at the Farm and Fleet auto shop dealing with them trying and failing to put new tires ( correctly ) on my truck.

We are still looking to book more photo shoots this fall. Now is a great time to take photos for those Holiday cards and we'd be happy to do it for you! We can even take care of all the printing and we will do the shoot wherever you want. We do not want to take the same old studio shots that you have seen all the time. We will take the time to find out how to add your own unique style to the photos.
